Small Wunders Child Care Centres have been providing the highest quality and standard of child care Services since 2005, with exceptional programs and highly qualified and caring staff. Referred to by many parents as “A wonderful environment for children to learn and grow”. All meals are prepared on site, and provide your child the essential nutrients their growing bodies need. Small Wunders accepts fee subsidy through the Region of Peel and/or the Region of Halton.
Small Wunders child care centres are a safe and nurturing environment where children are learning while having fun. Small Wunders through the years, has established itself as a leader in the development of young children through our programming and classroom structure. We have established a reputation as a “Caring and fun place to learn”. Many of our children enrolled are referrals from past clients.
Our spacious Child Care Centres can accomodate children from 6 months to 5 years. We are fully licensed by the Ministry of Education, and follow all of the requirements of the Child Care Early Years Act.
Security cameras are installed in every room throughout our facilities, to ensure safety, security and program monitoring.
We, at Small Wunders are in great standing, and hold an impeccable record with the Ministry of Education. We also believe that we exceed the expectations of the Child Care Early Years Act, by ensuring that all of the children in our care receive the guidance and the nurturing they require, in preparation for the years to follow.

Philosophy
Learning can be defined in many ways, but foremost it is known as the amount of knowledge one acquires to further themselves cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically. Learning is essential to our development, so we at Small Wunders Child Care Centres, strive to nurture development in all aspects of the word.
At Small Wunders Child Care Centres, we believe children are intrinsically motivated to learn and when provided with enriched environments, nurturing adult interactions, support and the freedom to explore, they become self motivated learners. We have committed to providing all children this opportunity to cement key foundational skills for success later in life.
We also believe that children should be treated as if they were our very own and we strive to incorporate this into our programming. All of our staff follow and believe in the same philosophy.

Staff
All of our carefully screened Registered Early Childhood Educators, have obtained a two year diploma in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college, and are also members in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Clear Criminal Reference checks are required by all staff. Standard First Aid and CPR certificates are also required by all staff employed at our centres.
All of our carefully screened assistants have either a certificate from an accredited college, or a sufficient amount of experience in the child care industry.
All of our staff are loving and caring individuals that care about the children in their care throughout the day. They are not only seen as play partners by the children, but also respected for the structure and routine they provide for the children.
Small Wunders supports all staff and requires all RECE’S as well as assistants to attend yearly professional development.
In house training opportunities are offered to staff by the centre. Our regional resource consultants are also available to offer support in our classrooms when questions arise.
Our R.E.C.E’s are registered with the College Of E.C.E’s. The college requires all RECE’S to create a portfolio of professional continuum in order to re-register every year.
As a “Raising the Bar” and/or “Quality First” participant , we receive ongoing support from the regions.
All staff complete a Vulnerable Sectors Search (Criminal Reference Check) prior to commencement of employment with Small Wunders.
In addition, all staff employed at Small Wunders are required to have a valid certificate in Standard First Aid and CPR.
Community agencies can support staff through in house training for children with differing abilities.
Small Wunders has a program where our staff is monitored and evaluated. Our management team, on a monthly basis, enters our classrooms to ensure that the quality of our programs are up to or exceed standards. Our teachers are evaluated based on the quality of their care and planning. We also monitor behavior management to make sure that your child is receiving careful redirection and no child is ever mistreated.
All of our staff work very hard to provide the best care possible for all of the children enrolled, thus helping to shape the identity of our centres, which has led to our tremendous success in the Child Care industry.
